§ 02 — For

who ship the cut.

→ 001

Client asks for an overview at 6pm. Preset → generate → PNG. Back to the edit in 30 seconds.

Pitch deck needs reference stills. Drop the MP4, moodboard layout, drag to order. Deck writes itself.
→ 003
Cinematographers
Show a colorist the full range of a scene. Timestamped grid, PDF, meeting ready.
→ 004
Motion designers
Storyboards from an animatic. Filmstrip + note areas + layered PSD out.
→ 005
Post supervisors
Archive a cut. One sheet per scene, ZIP of raw frames, searchable visual log.
§ 03 — Questions

Things people
actually ask.

Does my video get uploaded? +
No. The file stays on your machine. Nothing leaves the browser tab — check your network panel if you want to verify.
Why not just do this in Premiere? +
You can. It takes 20 clicks, a nested sequence, and an export pass. FrameDrop takes one.
What file formats work? +
MP4 (H.264/H.265), WebM, OGG. MOV support is landing soon. If in doubt, export H.264 from your NLE first.
How much? +
Free in beta. A Mac app with extras is coming.
How fast? +
60-second 1080p clip → 12-frame grid in about 3–5 seconds. Tweaks after that are near-instant (cached frames).
Who made this? +
La Hacienda — a creative studio in Medford, MA. Run by Gonz Veloz. FrameDrop was built for his own edits, then shared.
Found a bug? +
Tell us. Links in the footer. We iterate weekly.
§ 04 — Mac app

A native Mac app
is on the way.

Same tool, packaged for the desktop. ProRes / MOV support out of the box, no headers, no Netlify, no quirks. Drop your email and we'll let you know the second it ships.

No spam. One email when it ships.
